ROLLING DUB TRIOのGRIFFINシリーズ。

ROOTSシリーズと対をなす、ナローでクラシックなシルエットを持つモデルです。
自社工場「THE BOOTS FACTORY」を代表する、日本製・ハンドメイドにこだわり抜いたクラフトマンシップ溢れる一足となっております。

シャフトを細く、かかとのフィッティングを高めることで、すっきりとした見た目と安定した履き心地を両立しました。

使用したレザーは、上質なHORSEBUTT LEATHER #1010。
しっかりとしたコシを持ちながら、履き込むほどに深いシワと艶が生まれ、ホースバットならではの力強い経年変化をお楽しみいただけます。

ソールにはTHE BOOTS FACTORY CORK RUBBER SOLEを採用。
程よい厚みに仕上げることで返りが良く、日常でも履きやすいバランスとなっています。

製法はダイレクトウェルト。
木型には改良を重ねたマンソンラストを使用し、ウエストをぐっと絞ることでフィッティングの向上にも繋げています。

デザイン・仕様について
ダイレクトウェルト製法はグッドイヤーウェルト製法と似ていますが、中底にリブを貼らずに中底に掘った溝から、ダイレクトにウェルト、アッパーを縫い通す製法です。
リブがない分ソールを薄く仕上げることができます。
この製法だからこそのシャープなイメージを生かしたブーツが GRIFFIN。
独自の修正を加えたマンソンラストのつま先部分にUSネイビーラストを組み合わせたラストで、マンソンラストの履き心地を確保しながらスマートなスタイルに仕上げています。

レザーについて
しっかりとした厚みを持ちながら馴染みが良く、密な繊維組織を持ち美しいシワを刻むHORSEBUTT LEATHER #1010を使用しています。
※ROOTSシリーズと同じ革となります。

GRIFFIN Series
The GRIFFIN series is a narrow, classic silhouette model that serves as the counterpart to the ROOTS series.
Each pair is handcrafted in Japan by skilled artisans at our own factory, THE BOOTS FACTORY, representing the highest level of our craftsmanship.
Building on the Griffin Engineer pattern introduced last season, we have refined the design with a slimmer shaft and an improved heel fit for enhanced comfort and a cleaner silhouette.
The leather used is the same high-quality HORSEBUTT LEATHER #1010 featured in the ROOTS series.
The outsole is THE BOOTS FACTORY CORK RUBBER SOLE, designed to be slightly thinner for a sleeker appearance while offering improved flexibility.
The boots are made using Direct Goodyear welt construction on our improved US Navy last, with a narrowed waist for enhanced fit and support.

Design & Construction
The Direct Goodyear welt construction is similar to the traditional Goodyear welt method. However, instead of attaching a rib to the insole, the welt and upper are stitched directly through a groove cut into the insole.
This construction eliminates the need for a rib, allowing for a thinner sole profile while maintaining durability.
The GRIFFIN takes full advantage of this construction method, creating a sleek and refined silhouette.
The last combines the toe shape of the Manson last with the US Navy last, incorporating our own unique modifications to achieve a smart appearance while preserving the comfort for which the Manson last is known.

Leather
The boots are made from HORSEBUTT LEATHER #1010, a leather with substantial thickness that molds comfortably to the foot over time.
Its dense fiber structure develops beautiful creases with wear, creating rich character and a distinctive patina.
This is the same leather used throughout the ROOTS series.
